It’s a tale of intrigue, danger, and Doctors! It’s the 20th Anniversary special, and a multi-Doctor episode, so obviously we needed to choose it for our 5th Doctor episode. Join us as we discuss The Five Doctors.

Spoiler alert:
We’ve both seen it several times, and still enjoy it.

Here, at long last is our review of The Three Doctors. We apologize for the delay. Feel free to blame life getting extremely busy…and Misha Collins.

In any case, join us for a discussion of this, the first multi-Doctor story, from back in the era when it was possible to call the Time Lords for backup. This breaks the first law of time, eh? Oh well. We’ll worry about it later.

Doctor Who: The Third Doctor – The State of the Episodes

Well, it looks like things are looking up once we reach the time of the Third Doctor. All of his episodes seem to exist, though a few of them have yet to appear on DVD. (For the record, a couple of the DVDs seem to be out of print, but still out there to be purchased. …And if you still have a VCR you might even be able to get the videotapes of the non-DVD titles.)

Nicholas Courtney

Posted by: Dr. Geek

Today is a sad day for Doctor Who fans, Nicholas Courtney, the man who brought to life, Brigadier Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart, or as he was known in later life, Sir Alistair, has passed away. Unlike most military men and women in Doctor Who, the Brigadier was not a one dimensional thick headed man with a gun. He was as much of a companion as anyone before or since. Sure he only got one or two short trips in The TARDIS, but given The 3rd Doctor’s term on Earth, the lack of adventures in time and space is understandable.

As a tribute, I bring you a fan video that shows how UNIT would have been portrayed if it were actually filmed in the ’80s.
