This time we are looking at the Second Doctor story, “The Invasion.” This one was particularly interesting to watch as it’s been reconstructed with animation to fill in the missing episodes. …And I hadn’t seen it before. So…new Who for me!

Here, at long last is our review of The Three Doctors. We apologize for the delay. Feel free to blame life getting extremely busy…and Misha Collins.

In any case, join us for a discussion of this, the first multi-Doctor story, from back in the era when it was possible to call the Time Lords for backup. This breaks the first law of time, eh? Oh well. We’ll worry about it later.

In this episode, Mike Faber from the ESO and ESW podcasts joins Scott and Calliope to discuss The Two Doctors. There may be a bit of snark about outfits (That’s your stealthy outfit, Doctor? Nice sunglasses, Dastari) and a few other topics, so be warned.

Mike also mentions a Doctor Who comic (which you can find here). He also says, “Enjoy the comic it’s a wonderful story for all things Doctor Who… (warning it’s 247 pages long, but well worth it).”

I’m still looking into the availability of Doctor Who episodes, so if you discover any I’ve missed, please let me know. This is what I have for the Second Doctor at this point…
 

When I got back from Comic-Con, I thought I saw everything. Well, apparently not.

Check this out. Doctor Who action Figures.

So what is so special about Dr. Who action figures? Well as the article explains, not only are the figures of the First and Second Doctors very well done, a limited number of them were released in grey scale. That’s right, so they will look like the actors did during the black and white era of the BBC. Now that’s dedication.

Thankfully these Comic-Con exclusives are still available.

Finally, after totally screwing it up and then re-doing it, we have finished our second podcast. You can download it here or subscribe through iTunes and it will automatically download when I remember how to link it there.

I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself,
I am Dr. Geek.

When I am not busy being an attorney, archaeologist, or author, yes I have a thing for professions that begin with the letter “A”, I enjoy all things Sci-Fi.

In fact, I could start my own science fiction station from my DVD collection.

I was thrilled when Whochick asked me to join The Shadow Proclamation. I have been watching Dr. Who since the early ‘80s when it was on KTEH Channel 54.

Thanks to those re-runs, “My first Doctor” was The 2nd Doctor, but “my Doctor” would be the 7th Doctor. I believe Sylvester McCoy’s performance set a tone that is echoed even in today’s 10th Doctor.

For those who are going to go into Doctor Who withdrawal, I recommend the Big Finish range of Doctor Who Audio Dramas. As they say: Classic Doctors – Brand New Adventures.
