Over the past few weeks, there have been more news about the upcoming series of Doctor Who. So far the only thing we know for sure is that the new series will have at least 14 episodes. This is counting the next Christmas special. So really all we know is the new series will have about as many episodes as all the other normal series. However, recently former 7th Doctor and Ace actors were interviewed and they mentioned how they would like to come back to the show for the anniversary.

As you can see, there is the suggestion that past actors could come back, not as The Doctor, but as other characters, like a villain. I can see the appeal of doing this, as many of the actors do not exactly look like they use to. However, for the most part this is really on a problem for Tom and Colin Baker, the 4th and 6th Doctors. The current show has already presented the 5th Doctor, and with a little makeup, McCoy would look like he did in the TV movie. We do not know when The 8th Doctor regenerated so really there is no big problem for McGann.

Personally I think it would be great for the 7th Doctor to show up in something other than a video image.

This time around Calliope guested on the ESO podcast without Scott…but only because he was on a boat at the time. Details. The topic this time around is Crossovers in TV, Films, books, comics…pretty much anything, really. As a special treat, if you make it all the way to the end of the podcast, you can listen to the bloopers. These include when Calliope’s computer decided to freak out and make her sound like a Dalek. Well, maybe a Dalek swearing in Kaled…

Okay so it is only a trailer and for a movie that will not come out for another year, but I think you will all agree, this little teaser trailer was one of the best pieces of cinema in 2011.
So why are we talking about The Hobbit on this site? Simple, Sylvester McCoy, the 7th Doctor, plays Radagast the Brown in the upcoming Hobbit films.

Do y’all remember those amazing photos of Matt & Karen at Comic-Con with the Cosplay Crew (including Friend of the Show Erik?) Yeah? Well, apparently, so does Matt Smith as he still has them on his phone!

Well, it looks like almost all of the Fifth Doctor episodes are easily accessible, though one is already out of print? Anyway, here’s what I have on the Fifth Doctor’s episodes:
 

Just a quick post to let folks know about some amazing news. Two previously missing episodes of Classic Who have been recovered! (I’ll have to update my list, which should go live tonight, btw.)

The episodes are:

Episode 3 of the William Hartnell adventure “Galaxy 4″ and
Episode 2 of Patrick Troughton’s “The Underwater Menace”

Huzzah!
