Well it looks like 2009 will have another special for all of us to look forward to.

According to the offical BBC website The Sarah Jane Adventures will have its own Red Nose Day mini episode.

Oh and if you read the official announcement, it looks like K-9 may be back.

Here is a bit of timey-wimey Doctor Who for everyone, Time Crash from the 5th Doctor’s point of view.

I for one enjoy Dr. Who because unlike most sci-fi and fantasy shows, Dr. Who can be just about anything.

Since 1963, Dr. Who has told all tyopes of stories, ranging from historical, to action and adventure. Thanks to the TARDIS, the characters on Dr. Who are not limited to a court room procedural format, or the predictable requirements of a sitcom.

So what brings you to Who?

According to the BBC, tomorrow is the day they will announce who the next Doctor is going to be. I guess now that the Christmas episode is over, there is no need to keep people guessing.

According to the offical Doctor Who Website there is going to be a special confidental to air tomorrow making the announcement.

Well it is Christmas time again, and that means family, friends, presents and Doctor Who. … Well it does in my household.

As you would remember from my previous post concerning this year’s Christmas Special, I was expecting “The Next Doctor” to be a story about a con man using The Doctor’s reputation for profit. After all, this would not be the first time the production team would be influenced by the various Doctor Who audio adventures of Big Finish.

I am pleased to say, I was wrong, we were treated to a unique story filled with strong, memorable performances.

Just a quick post to find out what everyone’s expectations are for this year’s Christmas Special, “The Next Doctor”.

I for one think this guest “Doctor” is probably not a future regeneration. It is probably someone who thinks he is The Doctor or someone pulling some sort of scam.

Of course I could be wrong.

I know this is not Doctor Who related but I thought I should comment on today’s sad news. Majel Barrett Roddenberry passed away this morning at the age of 76.

I wish she could have seen the new trek movie as it sounds like it is going to be a good continuation of her family’s legacy.

I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself,
I am Dr. Geek.

When I am not busy being an attorney, archaeologist, or author, yes I have a thing for professions that begin with the letter “A”, I enjoy all things Sci-Fi.

In fact, I could start my own science fiction station from my DVD collection.

I was thrilled when Whochick asked me to join The Shadow Proclamation. I have been watching Dr. Who since the early ‘80s when it was on KTEH Channel 54.

Thanks to those re-runs, “My first Doctor” was The 2nd Doctor, but “my Doctor” would be the 7th Doctor. I believe Sylvester McCoy’s performance set a tone that is echoed even in today’s 10th Doctor.

For those who are going to go into Doctor Who withdrawal, I recommend the Big Finish range of Doctor Who Audio Dramas. As they say: Classic Doctors – Brand New Adventures.
