Who Tours

Posted by: Dr. Geek

So how many of you would travel to Europe just to go on a tour of locations used in Doctor Who? Well, okay, I would, but I have a Ph.D. in geekness :) Recently I found a few articles concerning two different tours. Check them out here and here.

Some day I hope to go on one of these or a similar tour. The closest I ever came to such a tour was when I spent the day in Paris going to a few locations used in Highlander the TV series. I know a few people who have gone to Canada for a Due South / Forever Knight tour which sounded like a whole lot of fun.

What Doctor Who location would you want to visit? I wonder how many people are caught standing on the secret entrance to the Torchwood Hub?

I have a book somewhere that had a bunch of the locations from the original series.

…And I need to visit the area above the Hub. Oh yes.

When I get a chance to visit the UK, I hope to hit all the modern locations. Thankfully this also gives me a chance to take a quick side trip to The Village from The Prisoner.

I also really want to visit the Doctor Who Experience. The recreation of the Five Doctors era console apparently has some special effects that allows the time rotor to activate and the like.

I, too, have photos of myself and my boyfriend in Cardiff at the secret entrance to Torchwood Hub and by the Senedd building.
