Stuck in the Void

Posted by: Dr. Geek

Hi everyone,

I really do not have much to talk about today. After racking my mind for something to talk about the only thing I could come up with was how much the gap between the Doctor Who episodes has started to get to me.

The Fall start of the TV seasons has come to the USA, and while I can enjoy the newest episodes of The Big Bang Theory, I still have to wait and wait and wait for more new Who.

What are you doing to survive the void? Hey that would make a great T-shirt “I survived the void”

Thankfully the release of classic Who on DVD has still be very regular, so that has been helping (am waiting with baited breath for “The War Games”). Even the odd bad story we get is still fun to watch and the extras are, as always, fantastic. That and catching up on old episodes of NCIS to feed my fixation with the Goth Girl on it. ;-)

We also still have the Doctor Who magazione to help us slog through.

Wargames was my very first episode. KTEH was running complete stories on Saturdays. Great ep. It introduces the Timelords for the first time.

Dr. Geek, I remember when KTEH would run complete stories on Saturday nights, I would stay up and record them all…sometimes made church the next morning a bit rough. :-) Never saw War Games or any Patrick shows then. Probably a good thing as W.G. would have ended just as I was supposed to get up! Really looking forward to finally seeing it.

    Hi Erik,

Great to know another KTEH fan. Yup, it was a very long night, I also recorded everything KTEH was able to show of Doctor Who. A few years ago I made the transition to digital but unfortunately my old VHS copies had degraded to an unwatchable state.

I am so glad the new series is doing season sets, I hope they do that for this gap year, but what I really want are “Doctor sets” It would be easy to do for Drs 5-8 and not that bad for what they have of 1-3.
