Coolest Dad Ever

Posted by: Dr. Geek

My friend Chris, just had a Doctor Who themed birthday party for his son. He set it up so his son could play The Doctor and the guests were the companions. They even had a TARDIS.

Okay it was made out of cardboard, but still, Chris should get bonus points for the effort.

Has anyone else been to a Doctor Who party lately? What are you planning for Halloween?

I want a Doctor Who party. Heck, I’d just be happy with Romana’s pink coat.

Debbie helped Chris with the riddles used for the game. Apparently it was a big hit.

Recently on “Ace of Cakes” they made a cake that looked like a TARDIS and one that looked like a Dalek for a party. The Dalek’s head even turned and it talked. Annoyed me because I was hoping, when the day comes, to have them make me a TARDIS wedding cake. Presuppossing I could find a bride who’s want such a thing. ;-)

Otherwise, I’m dusting off the ‘ol scarf for Halloween.

I saw that one, Erik. They kept saying Dalek wrong. Sigh.

Wait until you see his Halloween Costume!!

Hello everyone. It’s me, the aforementioned “coolest Dad ever.” I just wanted to say, partially boasting partially in self-defence, that I only had two weeks to throw the party together, otherwise the TARDIS would have been 3d and made from much more durable materials. As it is, the 2d TARDIS is now hanging on my son’s wall as a souveneir of the coolest B-day ever.

Now that the party is over, I can get back to building a 3/4 size Dalek costume in time for Halloween!! Exterminate or Treat!!

Oh, and Erik, I would be happy to make you a TARDIS cake for your wedding. Just let me know when and where, and whether or not you want it “realistically portrayed” or covered in M&Ms.

    We went with the M&Ms.

Hay gaiz, guess wut: it’s VOLCANO DAYBwahaha.I have to wait until about 3 AM to get the episode onnlie, or catch it tomorrow.Oh, and NEWS from the German-speaking realm! Pro7, the channel that originally premiered Doctor Who and then shut it down again after two showings due to low ratings (double episodes at 5 on a saturday, doubling up with the footy on the other channel. GREAT way to premiere a series, guys… x_x ), is now restarting! They’re picking up where they left off a month later as though nothing happened, starting Sunday at 5:00 with The Long Game. The German dubbing of Ecclescake is pretty scary, as german words are longer so the speaker has to babble really fast, and a lot of the jokes are just completely lost, but it’s good to know that it is actually showing on TV in my country (Switzerland gets German TV).So; hooray for international Who! :D
